The gameplay was very fun. I liked the huddle mechanic, being able to coordinate your specific allies to do things like a team (this was the best part, I liked that much better than just being a shooter), and also that the music only played when you were kicking ass and not getting your own ass kicked (it made for some super hype moments, like I got to finish off Foom to ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’). In my modest experience it was my favourite gameplay for a fighting game I’ve seen
The story is good, you’ll appreciate it a lot more if you’re a real GOTG fan from the comics.
I will say though on the story, because it keeps track of your actions with your friends to determine what happens, I did do a lot of wikiskimming to make sure I was completionist.
It doesn’t seem to change much though if I’m honest, like they’ll talk much less openly with you but otherwise will do the same things. And some characters don’t show up to aid in the final level, but that’s only if you’re really purposefully a dumb asshole who chooses the stupid things to say.
So for that could’ve been better, if you go hunting everywhere for every possible scene you won’t change the story much if at all, so you should purely go hunting for extra scenes if you want to watch the extra scenes, not because it will affect he ending. If you want to get a “bad ending” you’ll be disappointed, being an asshole to your own team will just make their dialogue less interesting. But it’s very easy to keep them happy since you don’t need to do every single right choice for them to like you, just like 50% right choices, and they’re all super obvious anyway.
I guess I feel a little cheated by that because I was so concerned with keeping the team happy with me when it actually wasn’t that hard or important lol
Also Game Gamora >>>>>>> Movie Gamora. She’s Pretty.
