My hair is slightly longer than picrel right now but yeah, if I went outside more I'd probably get mistaken for a girl even more. It's especially easy at a distance, most people will see your hair and just assume.
As for actually attracting women I will say I think failure to take hints is a part of it. Ive had multiple women show their attraction by just nervously staring at me, and only me, which man that's a uphill battle to begin with, I seriously think they might believe that just because we look like we care about washing ourselves also means we aren't somehow even more clueless about that stuff than usual. If you were to think hard on the interactions you've had you might be surprised by what you've missed, although I don't blame people for wanting to be safe and not come off as a creep.
I also don't know if this is a key or not but ive gotten 4 compliments total in my life, all from women, and every single one of them about my hair. Make of that what you will, Women are people with distinct tastes, obviously, but they sure seem to love the hair.
