I did a little digging (not that deep so grain of salt here) in the Discord since it's no longer on TFGames.
According to a post from Trigger on 4/21/25, he thinks the links for old versions of the game have lapsed and were erased.

Now he does specify the 'old' links in this post so I can't verify if a similar issue is happening with the more recent version links.

In the same chain on 4/21, Trigger also confirmed having issues with ensuring the links were updated correctly on the site but apparently fixed the issue.

tl;dr - It's still being worked on but no one has any idea why it's just gone entirely and I can't find anyone talking about it being gone in the Discord.

While the ancient evil's new form is significantly weaker both magically and physically, they could probably grow rapidly due to their experience. His ally could probably be a natural prodigy as well, even if they're pretty weak at the start.
Just to flesh it out a bit more, his new body and the other adventurer can be childhood friends when they were extremely young, and are finally reconnecting now. The original mage doesn't actually care about him at all though, but enjoys the idea of having someone to toy with. While she acts like a nice person in public, she'd happily murder or watch someone get feasted upon by monsters just for her own amusement. She naturally adapts to being in the Ancient Evil's body, and takes things far further than he ever did. The old one might raid a village, but leave some survivors behind to fuel the war effort and would respect warriors of great strength. The new one will fight unfairly and just go full scorched earth on everything in their path. Humans and weaker monsters exist only for their amusement. Perhaps she lured the adventurer to that secluded location in the first place just to kill him off. If he ended up surviving, she could just as well use her crocodile tears so no one believes him.

Are there any AIs that can write good bodyswap stories? I tried a good bunch of them - Dreampress, Perchance, Smutfinder, etc, but none of them get it right. They either start strong and mess up, or don't get it right at all. I don't want role-playing bots - I want something that can write a story for me.

Deepseek and Claude are pretty good at writing erotic fiction once you figure out how to bypass the filters. If you're really tech savvy or just so happen to have a really powerful computer I would recommend running any of those programs or chatgpt locally and just bypassing the filter all together. To be fair, there were grammatical errors in parts of Press Switch's last beta version too, though game's writer was obviously fluent in English and just needed an editor or to reread his script. A shame that the game won't be finished because a stalker started calling his family and told them about his porn game and chased the writer off the internet.

My guess is some of the errors in the last version were from writing a sentence, and then later revising part of that sentence and accidentally screwing up the tenses because he wasn't looking at the whole sentence. I do that too all the time in my 2nd drafts (and I'm a native speaker of English.) Sometimes I even start writing a sentence in one manner, but then think of how to make it sound better so I change what I am writing midway, and forget to go back and change every single word or phrase so there is word agreement. Which is why I need a third draft to polish it all when I write fiction, but he was forced to publish his last version as-is because the project suddenly had to be canned.

Student Transfer has too many different writers, but Press Switch has one consistent author. You know you won't find a route that was really qritten in Russian or Chinese and then translated into English. He worked on the game and expanded it for 13 whole years, and was consistently good unlike if I took a gamble on the up-and-coming games from TFGamesSite.

I also liked the unfinished route where Calvin became an autistic genius that sees the world in numbers and colors. That one didn't have sex, but it was nice seeing Calvin getting to adopted by a kind mother and having a chance at a living childhood instead of his psycho mom.

It really is garbage. The protagonist literally says, in multiple routes, that he has a secret desire to be a female. If the end goal behind every decision the protagonist makes is to be a female that means this game isn't about a teenager getting into wacky body swap or exchange scenarios. What the game really is about is the player cracking the protagonist as an "egg" by using various powers from the remote, and sometimes those powers include body swapping.

That sounds very cringe and one-tracked. While in Press Switch the routes at the family mansion were invariably dark and sadistic, the routes at the school had a contrasting tone that was as light and fun as in the X-change series. As long as you were at the school at any moment it felt like Calvin was 60 seconds from using his remote to bring the story in a totally different route with a new character's tangent. I loved the feeling of freedom and knowing that somewhere in the game you'd be able to turn Calvin into nearly any character you met and have a little route no matter how minor.

Another aspect of what made Press Switch so great is that the protagonist doesn't start off wanting to become a woman, and had several other motivations. You do realize ST kicked out the majority of their English writers in the early days of the game for petty feuds right? That's a really good way of putting it. Pretty interesting that we got to see the pros and cons for solo game projects vs. collective game projects for each side when you think about it. Hopefully the next major body swap game can take notes from PS and ST and find a good middle ground.

By the way, out sheer curiosity does anyone recognize what game this CG was recycled from? Most of Press Switch's CGs were from decade old Bishop games, but the route where you go with Calvin's mom to possess bodies in another city uses different CGs with a different company and artist. My issue isn't that there's not enough porn in the sense of "porn CGs", it's more that every shred of eroticism has been removed from the narration.

There's just no focus at all on the aspects of being absorbed by someone else's life because every path is like 20 minutes long so there's never any progression past "holy shit...everything is different?" since we're constantly busy cramming as much characterization as possible for the background charactersare, and before anything can be done with it, you get the "path continuation pending" screen.
Any of the paths that used to have actual good fetish writing in that sense (Moms path, Stuck inside Mika, for example) got heavily edited down to eliminate any of the lingering on the physical, psychological aspects of slowly turning into the person you're stuck in, and in exchange turned into more g-rated bad writing that seems really concerned with writing "a real story" while only showing more that the author is not that good at it.

It's like he wastes 90% of his effort on endless setup, then by the time he should actually start writing he's already exhausted himself and he calls it an ending instead of writing the actual path from there.
So anything even half-decent can only exist in stuff he wrote "fresh" years later on paths where the setup is already taken care of.

Yes, someone tried to translate may-be soft's change game.
It contained a couple of months worth of work, finishing the first bit of the game at least and the anon who was doing it was working on one of the routes availble.

The problem is, these folders are now empty; idk since when and for how long. As such you cannot download the translated files.
