I agree with the other anon. Story first, plan it out. Honesty, IMO the basic layout you've got here is already ahead of other games because you've split the rooms, the rooms aren't way too big and you've got decoration, but I'd try to use roof pieces or something to seperate the rooms a little more. You'll get better with time, don't sweat it.

One plugin that miiight help a little is a doodads plugin. It lets you go in-game and then place piece of your tilesets around off the grid, and IIRC, edit the colours and scale. So you could move those things onto your tables and shrinks them down if you wanted. Only briefly used one myself with MV so I can't say much about them.

I guess this would be the best place to ask but are there any good TSF themed VNs and indie games that focus more on the impersonation aspect of transforming into other characters? I don't mean like possession or skinsuits or whatever but through shapeshifting or something similar. I ask because I recently tried Superhuman and while it started out promising, the actual impersonation /他者変身 aspect basically doesn't exist outside of a couple instances that can be counted on one hand (and only two of those are anywhere near significant) so the creator can focus on his edgy Spawn/Prototype fanfic with a railroaded plot with no real choices (except choosing how you eventually die) and autistic DBZ fights that take forever to get through even if you're skipping everything.

The only thing I can think of that fits the bill with what I want is 他者変身RPG but I've played everything up through the current build.

Late reply but you're right about this. I hate this shit in TSF stories and it's an instant turn off. It's an immediate red flag that the author doesn't understand how female sexuality works.
HOWEVER, I think you're overselling the degree to which the average woman is bisexual. Most self-proclaimed "bi" women still date exclusively or almost exclusively men, and almost always end up in long term relationships with men.
