I'm trying to lean into the characterisation a bit as ultimately I'm using the captions like advertisements for the greentext. The over the top horny is okay as a character, but you can only really write it a couple time before it feel repetitive. Although, I don't think I've actually written one yet. I did have a couple images as candidates though, but as I think about expanding on the scene it ends up feeling too generic. One idea was a futa smelling when a woman is ovulating and going sex crazy, another was a BF using a transformation app with his GF and there being so many options he gets overwhelmed and so hits random and she turns into some freakish futa creature and he can't turn her back because he doesn't have premium and so he has to watch a minute long ad and in that time she pounces on him and rapes him

That's also why I make the text stand out as much as possible, so you can instantly see where it is as I've been having it slot into the story, and having it overlap with the image makes it feel more like a speech bubble. Although perhaps it would look nicer if I just made it actually a speech bubble (at least for short text like that last one I made)
I think if you're going to make it super long, the side bar makes it a bit easier to follow

One of the issues I've noticed is I'm not as good at writing the dialogue 'cold'
I can make it sound more natural when I'm writing out a story, but I've been making the captions first and then writing greentexts, and for whatever reason it's a struggle to make the caption not sound disjointed

The font (I've been using front and text interchangeably xD) doesn't feel like it fits sometimes with the picture, its hard to find a universal front for all pictures so you might have to go for a few preferred front styles you can switch around with, even mixing more than one type of text
You could try out a few different versions of the stories you have in mind and experiment with similar pictures and themes to see which ends up best or have it all follow a character or the same "universe" it takes place in.

Going over the picture can be done, its not a hard rule but it needs to be done "tastefully" or placed with some thought into it. I think this pic in my post does it well enough, and not too intrusively.
Yeah side bars make sense for long written text or story as you get more space alone the length of the picture. Some put it above or below for shorter captions depending on the picture size.

Well I'm mostly doing the captions because I want to write the stories. I often wrote greentexts in this way, just based on the image without incorporating captions into it. I find it more fun to include it in the story.
But maybe you have a good point. I was somewhat limited by the fact I need the image to be in the first part of the story so I could include >(caption) in the text, but if I'm using rentry anyway I could just link to the story and include it there. Then I can use mid or post sex scenes more easily
