"Please hurry, and get me out!", she thinks to herself, as her tears mix with her sweat.

I kinda like prolonged bad ends, where the girl is taken to some hidden place and left alone to suffer. Of course in theory theres more time to save her than on bomb or train peril however if nobody finds her, it's basically like letting her admire her own soon-to-be tomb. Having her watach bricks being placed seems to be sort of similar to girls wataching timebomb going down or a burning fuse. The difference is, when timer or fuse are done, she's done. However here, then the final brick is placed, her suffering really begins.

These sorts of post-game-over scenarios are the best. Bombs and trains are great but they're very final. You have a bit of time to save her, and the deadline is a very literal one. Obviously she'll escape because... well, death is way too dark for my tastes. Not very varied either way.

But with something like being walled up, or sealed in some eternal punishment chamber, or sold as a toy to some sleazy owner... the end is nowhere in sight. All the really exciting stuff happens to her long after the last fuse has burned down. The only thing the timer represented was the last chance to save her from a lifetime of servitude and sexual favours. The game may have ended but her new life is just beginning.

And the best part is there's no reason for it. Her purpose in the story has been served. The narrator has moved on to the next scene, the player has loaded an old save, the camera has panned across to the main characters' horrified faces. There won't be a daring escape or dramatic rescue. Her fate has already been sealed. The only thing close to recognition she'll get for it is a post on some forum somewhere saying 'guys wasn't this kinda fucked up when you think about it?' Other than that, it's all a personal, private hell she's got to suffer just to raise the stakes of the story a bit.
