The yakuza thing is a joke that got taken seriously somewhere down the line of translation telephone, Cygames is just really aggressive with takedowns because when the first anime season came out someone sent the owner of one of the actual horses a bunch of porn of that uma and he (supposedly) called up cygames and screamed down the line at them.
If cygames doesn't keep the owners happy, they won't be able to license the horses from them - same reason why there's never really a true 'named' villain in the game/anime. Plus they have to maintain a good relationship with the JRA. So if nsfw actually comes to their eye, they tend to issue takedowns.
As long as the artists play a little coy about it and don't go into screaming meltdowns over the occasional twitter post getting deleted like that one western artist last week, it should be fine.
