Is estim good for you?

Just be safe with it. Don't estim above the neck, and stay the fuck away from the heart.

Highly recommend researching safety for it. Otherwise though, have fun

I'm new into this. Is this supposed to feel like a shock? I got the impression from reading about it that it was supposed to stimulate your nerves directly to feel more massagey and pleasurable like sex but I literally just feel like I'm electrocuting my dick. No amount of imagination can change this. I'm using a Coyote 3.0 not a TENS. Am I doing something wrong?

Are conductive fabric sheaths any good? I've seen a few of those around

Theoretically, yes. It's even therapeutically recommended for chronic pain relief and encouraging healing of certain wound types. Just follow the safety guidelines; between the nipples is a terrible idea, despite how common it is in estim-related hentai.

I use a TENS, but the information should generalize, since my understanding is that the Coyote is more customizable instead of less. First, make sure that you've applied an appropriate conductive fluid to the area (electrogel or similar); not using a conductive fluid with estim is like trying anal without lube. Otherwise, start with the stim as low as possible and work up to your tolerance. Also, experiment with the different stim patterns available; even at the same energy levels, some feel nicer than others. You might also try changing the positioning of your electrodes; some electrodes just don't work well in certain areas. Different estim capable toys might give different results; definitely try anal if you can get your hands on a conductive lube.

Been estimming for over 10 years. I have 2 ET-312Bs, 1 old electrastim unit, and I had some DIYs that worked well until they died. With the right device and electrodes, it feels better than sex.

Only the cheaper units would feel like a shock. Start with low intensity and work your way up.
Make sure you have firm contact with your skin and/or use conductive lube.

Not really. You'll get zapped hard unless you use lube but if you use lube on them, it becomes difficult to clean and sanitize.

Double length pads (2x4") really take the sting out of it I've found.

All my research points to yes, provided you abide the universal rules of electrical safety. Don't cross your heart, disperse shocks along an initial point of contact to prevent burns, ect.
I know for me, it pretty consistently triggers a vagal nerve, which is super, super good for my stress levels and mental well being, completely independent of being hot. Time will tell if there's a boot dropping for it, I guess.

Seconding this. It's not an every time, it's more like a treat for now and then, but anal/vaginal shocks are gooooooood holy shit. Anal definitely feels better, I can only imagine it's even better if you have boy glands up there to get mixed in. I swear it wakes up nerves that normally don't say anything and makes them sing.

Most resources online for estim talk about how to make it feel good.
As a maso that practices discipline (aka, the punishments actually suck), I've considered estim for pain. What would you guys suggest?
Which choices make it hurt more while still being safe? Which parameters are necessary for safety?

Can conductive lube be reduced/unused?
How small can contacts be without burning?
Does the frequency matter more for pain than the actual current? Which frequencies hurt more?
Intermittent pulses vs. continuous shock?
What is the maximum voltage/current that can be safely used?

You know, I’ve never gotten any burns. So sometimes just to feel something I turn it up to the point where it feels like the current is physically ripping and tearing through my flesh. It’s not that high, it might start around 80% (idk if that’s a standard measure). Is even something like that within a safe range or am I doing something I might regret?

if you just want pain you want intense shocks at longer intervals, like 2hz max
higher frequencies will desensitize you
high intensity at like 10 hz is not nearly as bad as the same intensity at 1 hz
