Figure its a long shot but would any of you anons know of any where i can get an equivelant transformer for this pocket police reciver? How do you efficently find equivelent parts for an old project like this? I wanna build it cause i havent found anything online thats similar. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

>i havent found anything online thats similar

likely the reason they used this transformer is that, back in the 70's, say, these were very common
many TVs were powered directly from 120V, so they needed an output transformer to isolate the speaker in case anyone added headphone jacks
you wouldnt want line voltage close to someone's head
of course, TVs are now all isolated, so these are obsolete
you can maybe scavenge a similar one from an old TV
if you find something new, it's likely gonna be way way overpriced, as the pic shows

OPs hammond has the right ratio and is thirty dollars on mouser and digikey. It's overpriced vs the time it takes you to find one scrapping.

even if You would know the transformers data, You never would be able to build that thing and bring it in function. Regen circiuts in this frequency range need a lot of knowledge of design. And no police broadcast today would use these unciphered communication.
