I think I have the controller fixed.
It's solid state stop break for a metal break that had mouse piss and battery damage.
Info on the internet is almost 0.

Here's were I'm at now, from what I get from the manual it will go into calibrate mode on first powerup with no battery. It's supposed to flash the calibrate button its does not, light might be burnt out.
When I do push calibrate button it shows 27.000 on the screen and drives the stop back and doesn't stop just keeps spinning and the reading doesn't change.
Either the controller is still not working or the pic related isn't working.
Does anyone know how to check one of these linear transducers ? I cant find info anywhere

I could be wrong, but it Looks to me like a reasonably standard encoder. I guess trick is figuring out what kind of signal it puts out, sourcing, sinking, etc. Best case scenario its just a pair of square waves.

I was going to power it up with a power supply and see what it might give off but the wire colors don't match what's written on it. For instance there's 2 reds would they both get 5V? and there isn't a white/BK or Green/W or Blue/W. I did open it up and its a piece of glass that looks like an optical eye slides down and it was dirty as hell.
