my basement wall became porous and let's a lot of rainwater through to the point where the whole basement becomes a puddle whenever it rains. a professional took a look at it and said the whole wall needs to be replaced which he estimated would cost around 60k euros. I really don't feel like paying that much money for a few holes in the wall that are concentrated to relatively small area so I thought I could dig the outside area free, plaster the holes from the in- and outside and add a layer of cement or something. thoughts?

not really for a couple of reason. I didn't know what to google for, that this is a thing and that I was expecting more of a 'noo you can't work on that wall. if it already let's rainwater through then it means it collapse at any moment!' reaction. not to mention I'm a huge layman.

what do you think this would cost for 5-7m of wall, working hours not included? doesn't have to be accurate, just the general ballpark figure.

If it is porous, injection of a sealant may be an option if the wall is dry sometimes.
Holes are drilled from the inside at a down-angle, the sealant is injected in the holes and then absorbed by the (dry) wall.

My city has one basement systems company and they're huge. Having dug one egress window myself by hand, they can have all the smoke.

Like how much do materials cost? Mate. It depends. Too many variables. You do the math.
