Bigger ones usually use 480V 3-phase, smaller arms can do 120V if you're not lifting big stuff.

First, spend a fuck ton of time finding and replacing the capacitors that will blow when you power it up. Then probably some other stuff. Depending on the state of the controller it may be an idea to convert the entire controls to linuxcnc instead, people have done it but it’s cheaper than replacing 20 parts and buy old floppy disks with software
