Just saw them off, you've got easy access through that slot.

Clearly you didn't have the right tool to take the nut off. You probably used an adjustable wrench which is a horrible tool. If you don't want to cut it. That bottom one looks like it would be perfect for a bolt extractor kit. You hammer it on then can remove it.

Get 2 high quality combo pliers, small waterpump pliers or vice grips that have sharp, hard teeth.
Knipex will do. Then grip hard on the nuts and twist them off. Cheap pliers don't have hard or sharp teeth and won't work. They don't bite into the material.

Alternatively get an angle grinder and a 1mm thin cutoff disk for stainless, and cut the rod and the nuts lengthwise. Plunge in thru the slot in the black part. The outside nut will be cut in half and loose all tension.

You need a man in your life to teach you man things, son.

You undo nuts with wrenches or sockets, not pliers you fuckin moron

Ignore that idiot

That said, this shouldnt be hard. The dropouts on the fork are obviously bent, did you do that or did it arrive like that?

Lol, op was using pliers in the first place and that's how he ficked them up, look at his feet. He probably could have got it off with these pliers if he gripped harder, makes me realize op not only has the mind of a child but the grip of one as well.

That looks like it was damaged before you damaged the nuts. Should have returned it for a new one if you didn't know what you were doing

I'd cut it off with an angle grinder, carefully to not destroy the thread since it looks like it survived the nut. But it should also be entirely possible to take it off with good (big) pliers holding the shaft and a wrench on the nut.

Because I format my post how I want to, by seperating out my thoughts,
not for you retards like you

Its a choice. Imagine posting about nothing more than someones post spacing, when the whole le reddit schtick was tired when it showed up more than 10 years ago

Loser. Deal with it. I will never respect the perspective you are bringing forth

Hey reddit spacing faggot, did you even look at the picture in the OP? There's not a single flat left, those aren't coming off with a wrench or a socket.

The Knipex originals are fantastic. I got like 6 of them.
One's at my desk for shit inside the house, 4 in all sizes in the basement workshop, and one in the car.
They basically replace combo pliers, waterpump pliers and wrenches of all sizes in most situations for me. You can even use them for crimping and as a vice in a pinch.

a proper wrench doesn't need a flat. they have teeth and your hand strength makes demands of the material

you should try living and letting live.
its 2025. le reddit space lost its balls as an insult half a decade ago.

fag. been hearing that bs longer than half the time you've been alive.

at this point a dremel or a grinder would be a good approach, but neither your soft hands nor OPs should be the one holding it
someone with testicles maybe

not without a hammer for that socket

the important issue is trying not to crack ones nuts

i wonder if OP ever got his nuts off
