Anyone have one of these? I want something to put ratchet straps and my hitch in, but I don't want one of the classic boxes that go under the rear window for how much space they take up. All of the brands I find on amazon seem to be made out of plastic, so not sure if it's worth it.

Open to other truck bed storage solutions too.

These are great if you never put a single thing in the back of your truck ever, especially not sheet goods like plywood or drywall.

I had one and it was cool until the swing latch broke and I couldn't fix it
Mount it as high as possible to clear any sheet goods when possible

I haul stuff all the time which is why I don't want a traditional bed tool box. The swing boxes I've looked at are supposed to be easily removed by lifting them straight up
>>2924168
How did it break? From normal wear and tear? did you keep a lot of weight in it?

put them in the glove box or door pockets, or in a bag under or behind a seat

Well he's unironically not wrong. Is your cabin area so jam packed of fast food wrappers and other garbage you simply cannot fit the necessary tie downs and hitch under or behind the rear seat?
>All of the brands I find on amazon seem to be made out of plastic, so not sure if it's worth it.
Because if it were made of metal it'd be $500 and you definitely wouldn't buy it.

Two issues: 1. avoid sun, will crack the plastic 2. avoid thieves equipped with box cutters.

You guys need to stop projecting fr
Yes I could just toss my shit all over the floor like a typical tradie, but I'd rather not. Half of the time I'm the DD, and I don't want people stepping on my stuff

Do you have a metal one (that's actually worth) $500 that you would recommend?

>Do you have a metal one (that's actually worth) $500 that you would recommend?
No, because I doubt someone makes one. Look for a storage thing to go under the seat.
>Half of the time I'm the DD, and I don't want people stepping on my stuff
Tell manuel you have ICE on speed dial if he steps on your stuff. Also, if its under the seat, how or why would they ever step on it?

Harbor Freight Hercules bag behind the passenger's seat. Don't leave your straps outside.

Functionally never happens. Once it is full of shit and heavy you'll never remove it.

Here's some really expensive accessory for your truck that won't work correctly after about 10,000 miles because it'll get shaken apart and gummed up with dust from the elements. But you can store a gun in an unusual place!

I just bolt my hitches in place with steel locking nuts. Theives aren't likely to carry two large wrenches. My straps go in soft cloth bags in the cab.
