greetings. today I was informed of tiling being a good career choice in terms of pay and high demand. I'm 20, in the UK and have long wished to have some sort of hands on type of job. any advice/recommendations?

I don't know about the UK job market, but tiling is one of the less physically demanding manual jobs, and it helps on the job if you are moderately autistic.

you may not need a lot of strength to do it, but tiling will ruin your back and knees faster than most manual labour jobs out there

I don't this is a good idea, I made my wife re-tile our bathroom while she was pregnant and she did a good job.
I don't think you have long term prospects in a job a pregnant woman can do well.

Grouting all day takes its toll as well, not to mention all the silica dust.

tiling is more of a all-round handyman thing. as a career i'd go electrician or plumber in UK.
I'm a network engineer and i make fuck all.

you want to do some like the other guy said that an unskilled woman can't just do when she wants.

Exactly. You don't want to master a skill then still be constantly at the mercy of the customer and underbid by the market. If you're not earning guaranteed approaching 6 digit income 4 years in, then it's not being respected as a skilled trade.
