I'm about to beging prepping for the IBEW aptitude test, what am I on for? What's the best study resource?

I don't know but I was once in charge of the warehouse for a union shop and it was kinda nice, even though:

I swear it was like some kind of magic trick the way they'd sneak in and dump their shit all over without me seeing who or when. You clowns, there are carts everywhere just for this purpose. Don't dump it on my workbench!
I'm still mad. But really only a little and in retrospect it's kinda funny too.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It's good that you can find the humor in those situations. I've been working in warehouses my entire adult life, so thankfully I know better than to do something like that to another guy's work area.

make sure you get to the interview on time after the test, I took it and let them schedule me for 8am the day after working until midnight and I overslept, I showed up a couple hours late and they flat out refused to reschedule, just said I wasn't getting in and that was that.

This nigga clueless that shit ain't on the aptitude test. The test is half algebra like "solve for x 5x+7=27" type shit and the other half is reading comprehension so read a story and say what the fuck it's about. It's also graded on a percentile and it's out of 9. If you don't get an 8 or 9 you are probably sub 95 IQ

Union people don’t give a fuck. They can work their 40hrs flat if they want, work OT if they want. A lot of union people like to pull the ladder up behind them unless you’re their cousin or something.

Gotta love when life fucks you on important tests. The day I had to take the ACT to go to college (which I dropped out of) I had a 103F fever. So I guess it didn’t matter in the end.

My buddy tried to get me to do that IBEW test like 5 years ago, I regret not doing it. I would love to do it now but I have a mortgage and don’t have time to be unemployed on the union’s testing schedule, my serverance package wasn’t long enough.

Kek, I’ve been doing these online trade courses lately and went through “Trade Math” and it’s sort of like 4th/5th grade math level if you went to a public school in a mostly white town.

It’s more like understanding that 1/2” is larger than 3/8”.
