Bosch Ascenta, 10 years old, stopped bringing water into it a week ago. E24 code suggested drain pump had died, replaced it with another one from Bosch. Changed to E08 so I figured it was the inlet valve, replaced it. An express wash with no racks in it sounded like it did a complete cycle but I'm not certain it actually did. Put racks back in with soiled dishes and silverware, ran regular cycle but it ended with no clean dishes and the detergent tablet undissolved; an E11 which ought to be the thermistor that still doesn't explain why the tub didn't fill. The hot water line is fine.
Is the inlet valve's wiring disconnected from the circuitry at the other end, is the control board insane, is something else at work here?

Yes, I already imagined me breaking the control board behind the instrument panel, I just wanted to know if something more obvious was going on

Iโ€™ve had control boards go insane after 10 years or do.
Nowadays, 10 years considered a good run for an appliance.
My dishwasher lasted 20 years, it was the cheapest model and had almost no electronics, it was just a timer dial that spins and connects/disconnects metal contacts on itโ€™s way so I could easily diagnose any problem.
Ran it until the motor seized solid (it only had one big motor for everything)

Yeah after the schizo "no it's this new thing" for the third time without explaining why it still couldn't open the fucking inlet valve I said "fuck it" and ordered a replacement control board because holy shit it's been reliable with everything else for a decade and still looks the same on the inside as it did when we bought it.
