/g/ kicked me out and said i belong here. Is this true? Any cool projects with this? I am still using original firmware. Might hop onto momentum soon. Also purchased a feberis pro, but lacking in information on how to install it I have yet to do anything with the module.

Who here has one and what are you currently doing with it?

Why do you get hold of a tool without having a need for it only to then try to manufacture use cases?
I suggest you have a goal first and then find a way to reach it. Not vice versa.

All my acquaintances that got ine just did a couple of weeks of shitty demos like using it as a universal tv remote, and played shitty games, then just forgot about it.
Seems like confining a SDR to a tamagitchi UI is not the best idea.
A lot of it's features can be done by your phone that you already have.

old wired headphones can get you some of the parts you'll need for an antenna i think audio something has free signal processing software original designed for vinyl to cd recording, once you got a signature of a radio button you can repeat it with the flipper. soo like garage door opening automation, pretty much automation bridge between powerline communication to radio communication highly customizable odd that /g/ sent you.

The problem is the people who are into this tech are too pussy to do any real crime with it. They will find some shitty use for it like opening their front door even though they already have a key for it and go on and on about how useful it could be.
This device can't really do anything more than a motivated roody poo with a hammer could. And that doesn't cost $200.

Only thing you can low effort exploit with it is shitty subdivision access gates and rfid tags.
All low/LARP security access.
Cars and garage doors require more effort and therfore you might as well get a better tool to do it too.
Garage doors especially are usually installed by retards, exploiting remote open is not the easiest way in.
Cars depends on the model really.

what i said is to go to the specific generals of whatever you want to do. the device is irrelevant, what you do with is the point

>clone every fob for garage doors and put them in a safe drawer
Desu, I never found anything else it did that I was interested in
I'm more interested in Hack RF and mapping EMF fog but will I actually get off my ass and walk around with antenna hanging out my bag
>well I guess I have to accompany you to the station officer

No, it's an essential question every hobbyists must ask themselves to prevent themselves being a hoarder
Best case scenario is being a consoomer adding to their landfill
You don't need a use for every feature but at least have some need

This is unironically why I want one. My neighborhood has a gated portion and I want to ride my golf cart through it. Would i be able to get it to work without having a key to program it with?

No.
But you can google the gate controller, find out how to bypass it. It's usually trivial, these are not security devices, these are normie control devices.

Doesn't work unless your fobs and doors are from the 70's.

AFAIK the flipper can do the basic hopping most of those gates do but warrants further research before buying. It will definitely fail on the more advanced locks
It'll do RFID so cards for gates in offices can also work

Don't waste your money on this overpriced toy.
You can do the same with some 5$ arduino modules.

Or for the same money you could get an infinitely more powerful and versatile HackRF + PortaPack

That's not how gate remotes work, flipper can't do this.
What it can do is record and replay remotes.
So if you wanted to use it to open a gate 10 times, you would have to record 10 different remote presses, then dick around on the flipper to find and play them in correct sequence, if you skip one, it becomes invalid. Repeat the process after you used them up.
Pain in the ass for no gain.
