What's better for a bathroom/kitchen flooring, luxury vinyl plank or tile like limestone/porcelain?

my understanding is that every step on LVP throws micro plastic into the air, good for a new build or massive remodel; that dust will stand up better than skin cells.

None of those mean anything if you actually read the warranty. I've worked in flooring sales and not once have I ever seen a manufacturer honour these bullshit claims.

In reality, LVP is only good until your next flood, which is like every 2 years for the cardboard homes in North America.

When I see LVP, it means this is either millennial home flippers or a hair salon.

Lvp is better than laminate for longevity and holds up to commercial traffic really well. That's why we used it in our office. Tile cracks when stuff is dropped and is harder to replace. Hardwood is expensive and a bitch to care for. Laminate is vinyl but worse. The only thing you should do if not doing LVP or tile is just epoxy coating the entire slab.

Polished cement is too dusty.

Lvp just feels better to walk on barefoot, I live in a cold climate and hate how cold tile floors get, also it’s not as hard so glass and ceramic doesn’t shatter instantly if you drop a cup or plate, but really it’s all just your own preference
