Best CAD software?
what's the best all in one CAD software that you won't need any other one, yet it's intuitive, easy, and preferably free?
I'm not new to 3D world, I used before many many 3D software some probably you never heard of before like Modo and 3Dcoat, others like zbrush/c4d/etc. and different renderers, and I also used for a bit some cad ones like fusion360, but I want to master one but I don't want to waste time doing that only to be limited, there's fusion360, onshape, inventor, and the typical like solidwork but those are heavy I don't want to install.
what's you opinion?

I've only used fusion 360 and inventor, i prefer inventor but that's probably because it's the one I've received and education on.

I'm teaching myself your picrel at the moment. It's a pretty steep learning curve but I reckon if I can master it I'll be able to transfer my knowledge to just about any package. Got Fusion and NX at work but haven't really touched those yet.

Iโ€™ve tried most of them for fun, some longer than others but whenever I need something done I go back to solidworks 2017 because itโ€™s intuitive and just werks

Suck it up and either pay the $50 for the SW hobby license or pirate an older version. Everything else you listed is garbage and not worth learning unless all you're doing is meme shit with a 3D printer.

The two hurdles I had learning FreeCAD were:
1. All points & lines of a sketch MUST be defined (IE given coordinates on the sketch plane). This is unlike Fusion where you can leave stuff loosey goosey. It doesn't matter WHAT you define them as, but they need something for the sketch to resolve (no reason you can't go back to the sketch and change things later).
2. Bevels & chamfers will bork if you bring it all the way to an edge (IE a 2mm bevel on a piece 2mm thick; totally possible IRL, hurts the computer's wee little brain for some reason). Bringing one ALMOST to the edge of a piece (1.95 in the above example) is totally fine.

Best for me Designspark mech. Very intuitive, pretty good sub-assembly handling and it just works

No, free as in beer. Free as in freedom CAD programs have various drawbacks that discourage a "best" rating.

Fusion360 is garbage, the only reason it's used is it's cheap as fuck even for a professional license.
>makes it a huge pain to save anything locally
>creating even basic assemblies is overly complicated
>half the functions require sending info to autodesk servers to perform the function because ???????
>because of this, basic things take literally 20 times longer than they should
Any CAD program that takes more than 2 seconds to shit out an STP is shit. I've had to wait upwards of 10 minutes for export because of the cloud bullshit. It's also useless for anything that requires ITAR or similar compliance.

Worth noting, thanks. This is the kind of thing I'm tackling at the moment. Legacy nuclear fuel handling equipment components with drawings from the late 70s, just like me. I need to get into turned parts using rotated profile sketches. Only done those as stacked primitives so far which is a bit shit.
