What is the absolute best tool or set of tools you have ever used in your life?
For me I think few things are as fucking based and useful as a file, a big fucking file which can be used to file things, stop wheels, use it as a chisel, as something to stir up liquid.
For set of tools I would say something like the mini screwdriver which has detachable heads but I think carpentry hand tools are by far better.
And in my opinion the quintessential tool which is above all and can't be surpassed is the knife. Shitty knifes are cheap and can be improved, a good fucking knife can last for generations before you have to throw it back into a melter and make another knife, and there are different types of knifes for different purposes but the concept of the knife tool is for me the best tool ever created.
Mankind could go through a mass extinction tomorrow and I would bet my life that the first fucking thing people would start doing after resetting all human knowledge would be knife (as a manufactured tool, sticks used as hammers don't count).
