how do I enact the final solution to the 6+ legged problem? I want to completely eradicate all forms of insectoid life from my shitty apartment. I have those blue light and vinegar bait traps for flying shits and diotomaceous earth and glue boards for the crawling ones, but they still manage to get through my defenses. should I get a potted venus flytrap?

I keep all food in containers, put bleach down the drains regularly, and don't even put anything on the floor unless it's in a container. I've been at this for years but it's a losing battle.

If you're not a slob, there's a food source nearby that's sustaining them. Your defenses are ineffective due to them reproducing elsewhere and then entering your space. If you cannot address that issue, you cannot win. Move out of Brampton.
Carnivorous plants are neat but the quantity of insects they eat is far too low to make a difference. In biological warfare, the best solution to the six legged problem is eight legged soldiers. Spiders are your best hope but then you're living with spiders.

how do they get in? can I stop them from entering somehow? I put a bunch of those sticky traps surrounding the front door and after a week they were covered in crawling little shits.

this. it's impossible to eradicate them in an apartment, they'll always have somewhere else to nest.

they come also come in through drains and electric outlets.

I find fly swatters to not be very useful since if I see a gnat and then turn to grab the swatter I'll already have lost sight of the bug. bigger bugs like houseflies that are easier to track can be taken out with a spray bottle full of soapy water.

NTA but they often come into houses through holes that the pipes (drains/water/electrical) go through, not the drain pipes themselves. I do insulation shit sometimes and 95% people have at least a few unsealed holes under their kitchen sink going to the crawlspace floor below or outside or whatever. If it’s big enough for cold air to come in, it’s big enough for insects
