Depends on how long it went with no fluid. If you got it all sealed up again top it up and give it a go.

Wew is that a sensor?

Unless it’s threaded and somehow unscrewed, I doubt that’s going back in without a new PS pump.

This. Take it off and get a good look at it. Maybe you could clean it up real good and glue it back in place if it is plastic in an aluminum bore? Never seen a power steering pump with a wire coming out of it...

It's most likely held in place with a snap ring that rusted to bits. You'd probably have to take it off to replace the snap ring. Personally I'd just replace the entire unit but if you're a poor fag harbor freight should have everything you need. $20.
