>>2932241>why would you waterproof a foundation if there is no basement on the other side of it..Can still be problematic..

A few meters from the new back room is a spring, and the whole backyard is always wet/soaked from that spring and from water run off from the neighbours land that is higher than her yard.
I dug down to confirm water table is higher than where the footing starts for the recent back room extension..
Hydrostatic forces of that water table will cause footing to absorb water causing mould growth on back room extension's interior slab...
Back room Interior's flooring is wood planks on top of that slab & owner doesn't want me to pull it up to check the slab surface..
Bottom of the back room's external brick work has mouldy looking green shit growing on it all year round..
House is double Brick & tile.. problem is the back room extension has external brickwork with internal wood frame & gyprock board..
Wicking action may be wetting the interior wood frame, but that back room extension is too new for the gyprock to show a problem.
Yes, she does want me to waterproof the footing with whatever will work.
So, dimple mat? does it need to be sealed so water can't get behind it?
&/or painted on water retarder that breathes?
