I had sunburn on my back a few weeks ago, was walking the dog with no shirt on and decided to scratch my itchy back on this small light pole. Turns out that light pole was fiberglass and the west side of it (where I happened to rub my back that night) had a faded coating and exposed fiberglass

I took a bunch of gorilla tape and made like 1ft square sticky sheets and kept sticking those bitches to my back like a Brazilian wax until the horrible itchy feeling was like 80% gone.

Next time I’ll use poison ivy

As a finish carpenter, I use Gorilla Tape to make shims. It is the perfect adjustable shim material. It won't rot and it sticks. They used to (still do) use paper cardboard and thin pieces of wood to pop an edge or side out on things like trim, doors and hardware, but they fall out easily and it's fucken annoying. So I started ripping the tape to size and then folding it back onto itself until I reach the correct thickness leaving a tail hanging off the main mass to stick to whatever I'm shimming. Usually I will use multiple pieces to keep a choice fit & finish. It's great because thickness is variable and it's easy to modify on the fly. I am admittedly a bit proud to have figured this out on my own because it's a real gamechanger getting pieces shimmed out quickly, easily and correctly.

A fresh piece in in heat will stick really good, but a used piece can lose some of its strength and become great for repeated use.

Just used this shit as a freezer door gasket. -10 degrees, shit held until I replaced it today. It was on there for about 2 weeks.

I was driving my RV through southern Louisiana. There was some gnarly fucking winds, wind I have never experienced. I have two big solar panels screwed right to the top. I was getting pulled dangerously bad from the wind. Went to the depot, got cardboard and this tape. Covered any gap that air could get caught in with said materials. Its been 3 months, from Louisiana, through Texas, NM, and then CO. Rained on, snowed on, and from Big Bend (110 degrees) to CO (28 degrees), THE SHIT IS STILL THERE.

We used this tape at my old workplace for masking off sealing surfaces of machined parts before sandblasting. It can take a good 10 seconds of direct blast before wearing through.
