Lads, I know you bear greater wisdom than I. If you would spare a moment, I'd hope to seek a proper replacement.
I fear this one is approaching the end.
Fans are metric, so that'd be a 120mm fan. Either find the exact same fan model or buy any regular 4-pin fan. 4-pin should usually be compatible with the 5-pin shit you got going. Arctic makes good budget-ish quiet fans. Noctua are slightly fancier but overpriced.

There's a hole under the sticker where you can drop some zoom spout oil. Then you manually rotate the fan with your finger and add more oil until it's quiet and smooth.

Most of the cheap fans aren't like that. They are just glued in sealed fans that you can't take apart without breaking. Generally the Noctua fans are considered the best in terms of being quiet and powerful. I myself went with Thermalright cause it was 3 for $10 and the Noctua is 1 for $20.

wtf is that thing?
is that a fan controller for a proprietary 5 pin header?
also why is power a 4 pin standard fan header and not a sata or molex?

Here's what you want to do, take an industrial sized fan. Put the pin onto a relay to switch on the big fan when the computer starts. Cut out the side panel and mount the industrial sized fan to it. Add Aztec death whistles to the tips of the industrial size fan.
No idea what the sense in this exercise is, but you will have fixed your fan. And upgraded it.

ABOMINATIONS FOR THE ABOMINATIONS THREAD!
Do make a video of it running, it will be sure to scare the bejeezus out of any neighbors. And wear earpro when turning it on unless you want a tinitus
This is hardly a /diy/ thing. You're just replacing a premade item with a premade item. I don't blame you for not posting it on /g/ though, given the absolute state of that board.

Oh, I posted here because I'm stupid.
My thought process for posting here because technically, I could hire someone, but the service charges are usually more than the products related . .
. . You may be right though.
