I've always been interested in making my own stuff, though I always used games for this. Spending thousands of hours in gmod or from the depths just tinkering and learning stuff.

I've wanted to take this into the real world for a bit, I want to try to build a 2 axis gimbal turret, starting off with remote operation use, but later adding AI find & track system. (Yes I know massive project, but it comes if I ever manage to learn it)

How does one even get into this kind of world? It seems quite complex and I am a beginner, though I have done soldering & made a fan with a usb stick when I was 12.
