with indians, man i've lived all over the west coast and michigan and shit i know how you guys dress.
first of all you're ignoring the large subset of the indian population who wander about costco and kroeger in sweatpants and grease stained tshirts and flip flops. you guys are guilty of that too.
but there definitely are more indians who put in effort to their look. especially when it comes to hair and skincare i notice. a way higher % of indian guys style their hair than white guys do.
i do see way more indians in button front shirts, khakis and casual outfits like that which aren't total slop. but what i don't see as often is indian guys who pull it off and get the details right. yeah the guy will be wearing a buttoned shirt but it'll be a generic polyester poplin, the khakis will be all zesty and tight fitting, etc half the time.
its not surprising, a lot of you are just recently coming into wealth. i would suggest really honing in on the details of your fit and not just ticking all the boxes, to indian guys in general. fabrics, color palate, quality, the fine details and all of that.
>>18462706its partially the economic factors.
but also just that guys like steve jobs and bill gates shifted the image of the new elite aspirational class from a well put together elegant man to a dork in a turtleneck and new balances. for decades thats what people thought of when they thought of a young up and coming man not the wolf of wallstreet. the elites have been trying to dress and look like proles for a while now, which to them is a flex. but the proles themselves imitate like a cargo cult. this is especially true on the west coast.
>workwear>not buttoned shirtslolwut most casual shirts are downstream from workwear or military shirts.
