Was the whole "the 70's were embarassing and cringe" thing a psyop?
>>18462704 (OP)The 70's was the last decade when men wore colors. After that it has all been black/grey/navy monochromatic industrial commie slop.
>>18462704 (OP)>>18462721the 70's was at its best when it was slightly restrained. as the decade and its trends went on it did get too zesty.
another reason the 70's aren't remembered fondly is it's when clothes started drastically declining in quality over all, and plastic started getting put in literally everything, perm press treatments became the norm etc.
>>18462721Not true, I'm old enough to remember the early 90s.
70s compared to the other decades of the 20th century is seen as tacky.
You had leisure suits, and gender extremes, men were either mustached hairy butch goblins with chest hair, or bowie style glam androgyny
musically the 70s is underrated, metal, rap, punk were invented that decade
>>18462922>musically the 70s is underrated,70s music was recorded/mastered like shit which gatekeeps younger people from getting into it. almost the entire decade will benefit heavily from inevitable ai remasters going into the future.
like for instance go listen to that duneon synth act zoomers discovered grausamkeit. the original recordings sounded like a tin can and some guy got them to sound pretty damn good using ai.
>>18462704 (OP)the 70s were actually extremely /fa/ if you put aside all the hippie cringe
>>18462704 (OP)nah man the 70s were cool. albeit kitschy
My only complaint is when they wore their bell bottoms extra straight with the pointy shoes. I prefer stacks.
>>18462704 (OP)I mean some of it was good but you could say that about any decade. The truth is the 70s is home to the worst male fashion trend in human history: Dog ear collars. Not even just counting fashion the decade was very, very ugly. Yellow couches, shag carpets including in the bathrooms, wood panels on everything including technology like game consoles and TVs, men's hair being almost indescribably bad for some reason.
