get a good quality one, preferably vintage (aquascutum, burberry).

Good quality, wear matching clothing below, has to be raining or at least overcast looking like it might rain.

A nu-male negrified soimutt can't pull it off. Trench coats, suits or anything from the past looked good on those people because they had the body language, mannerism, expressions, and the attitude to go with them. They were products of their times wearing products of their times. Modern men don't have the class or the dignity to be men and pull off clothes like that. They always end up looking like weak, lame cosplayers.

Shitty weather. Cold and rainy usually does it. Snow also works.

The actor in that picture was around 30 years of age, but he looked and behaved rather maturely, compared to many men in the West of the comparable age group today, plus, he was the famous actor Alain Delon. People then, as some do now, still wear raincoats and trench coats, but single-breasted macintosh style raincoats are more generally seen if one is wearing traditional rain-wear meant to be used over a suit or sports coat, or similar. Double-breasted trench coats were definitely popular during the early through mid-20th century, and they still get worn by some now, but even less than the single-breasted coats, in my experience of looking at people in cities during rainy weather. If you want to wear any sort of rain or trench coat, make sure it fits well, but still loosely enough so that it could go over a suit or sports jacket beneath. This same principle applies to overcoats. Hats are optional, but quite helpful during rainy weather. A good quality felt hat is going to save your arms getting raised to hold an umbrella all of the time, and it could look good with suits and sports coats, too.

just don't listen to all these faggots
get a trench coat u like, beige/black/grey doesn't matter, and just wear it
the only thing you need to keep in mind is that a coat is generally more or less an elegant piece of clothing so maybe don't wear it with shorts and some reddit tier star wars t shirts and stuff
but other than that you're good as long as it's quality is good and you like it
don't listen to these faggots >>18475886
you don't have to be some kind of nordic or eastern european supermodel to wear something, being tall and slim helps but if something fits you and you like it just wear it

Fedoras are not meant to be worn casually.
example
>cowboy hat + jeans + blazer/sport coat = okay
>fedora + jeans + blazer/sport coat = bad
>cowboy hat + jeans + t shirt = okay
>cowboy hat + jeans + t shirt + sport coat = bad
>fedora + suit = okay
>shoes
>jewelry
>etc.
