>so butthurt he got BTFO he had to double down like a child and thank himself to make it look "believable"
Decline of mental health is no laughing matter.
>>18474491>villoresiit's a hit or miss house for me but Uomo is a nice frag
>>18474492>Decline of mental health is no laughing matter.yeah, take your meds
Is it as good as /fa/ claims it to be?
>>18474484 (OP)Anyone smelled the new ADG Profondo EDT??
>>18474494No, it's a rather generic woody amber. Sport is better. Original is even better but for different occasions.
>>18474493I went to their 'flagship store' in Florence (read Villoresi's home in a medieval villa with a shop and museum on the ground floor) and very much liked Uomo, Aura Maris, Ambra and Atman Xaman.
/fa/ hates to admit it but this is the current best mens fragrance
>>18474500not even the best sauvage

should I just kms?
>>18474545no, tell them to kms themselves
>>18474495why would anyone want an even weaker formulation of this?
>>18474545acqua di sale >>>>> a'mmare
this is the best churchy incense i've tried so far. incensebro needs to try this.
>>18474549It smells better (apparently).
>>18474555>churchy incense2005 wants its fad back
>>18474549they should have made an รlixir Absolu edition for shits and giggles
>>184745552002 and a style launched by possibly the best perfumer alive Bertrand Duchaufour
>>18474484 (OP)Aren't you afraid that you'll give feminine vibes if you wear fragrance?
>yes, that's a man. His name is James Charles
>>18474500Too abrasive, lacks subtlety.
>>18474614True, but that's part of why people wear it.
Luna Rossa Carbon is much cleaner, but it's not nearly as attention grabbing.
>>18474595Nah, I have broad shoulders, big arms, and a 29 inch waist
I'm just trying to cover up my cigarette smoking habit
wearing my favorite fragrance while thinking of how you guys are the worst posters on this entire site
I look at the description of cabochard and I see a fragrance for men. For $15 should I give it a try?
>>18474803Yes, I'm considering the same thing. Let me know how it goes.
>>18474803Cabochard smells just like its price tag
>>18474803Get Lalique Pour Homme instead.
Should I get Cabaret Pour Homme
>>18474816Incidentally, I've already got Lalique pour Homme, and I fucking love it. Does this mean I should try Cabochard too?
>>18474494Queermo slop for when you want to signal your willingness to get down and dirty in a portapotty or truckstop bathroom
>>18474499>medieval villa with a shop and museum on the ground floorThat sounds kinda cool actually
>>18474803it's a slightly greener (and with current formulations better) aramis
>>18474494DHI is better. Sauvage is better for daily driver if you want to stick with Dior, but everyone wears it so that's that.
>>18475018EDP>Elixir>Parfum>EDT.

my 2 blind buys regrets that I hate the most are lalique equus and kenzo ph edt. Thankfully they were both cheap. I also dislike lapidus ph sport but that one is so strange I also don't consider throwing it away.
>>18475020>>18475028>>18475031I never smelled elixir but I like edt the best out of the other 3.
>>18474500the EdP is just better. That Bergamot note in the EdP is what made Sauvage the success that it is.
>>18474595that dude has a weird alien nose.
SOTD: Dia Man
Bertrand Deuchafour did something interesting here with the light crisp floral note right in the middle. It reminds me that Men's fragrances could have different florals in the heart. Like Champaign d' Caron. That's just an aftershave, but it blows most men's frags out of the water.
So, I've never tried the Aventus, but tried a couple of its clones. Namely the CDNIM, and Montblanc Explorer. And I barely smell anything. I don't even smell the synthetic lemon in the CDNIM opening.
I just smell something harsh, and then something less harsh.
And it's the same for all the clones I've tried.
I have no issues with any other fragrance.
But for all of the Aventus clones. It's not that I don't like them. It's that they don't even smell like perfume to me.
So either I'm not perceptible to chemicals used with the cheaper clones. (But again, only aventus clones) Or, most likely, I wouldn't able to smell Aventus either.
Anyone with the similar experience?
I post lots of anti-Sauvage comments on the Internet just so I could be one day the only one wearing it
Why did the hype die, politically speaking?
>>18475018To me the Eau Forte is the best smelling one in the line, I love the peppery notes. If only it wasn't water based and evaporated exactly 3 seconds after spraying it on.
>>18475093The shill found something else to do I imagine.
>>18475092based sauvage edp enjoyer.
Looking for a frag, edt, edp, parfum, etc, doesn't matter, I want something fruity but not citrusy, also I like leather, tobacco and boozy notes. I want fruity + one other of the notes I like or more.

>>18475166TF Tuscan Leather or the better Widian Chelsea
>>18475166oh you sound fruity nigga
>>18475093It's nice but it's a women's fragrance.
>>18475166you should look at Chypres if you want fruity + additional notes. aventus might be the most famous one, but there are many others like it
>>18475166Cherry Punk? main notes of cherry and leather
>Someone gifts dad a bottle of Sauvage>doesn't care about perfume>gives it to me>also don't care about perfume but try it out>people seem to like it>finally run out>go on /frag/ to look for other fragrances>everyone just saying to get SauvageWelp, so much of for that. I wanted to try the core 10 from
>>18474490 but the big perfume chains around here don't stock any of these and I'm not spending hundreds buying samples of all. What do
>>18475229>i want to try these things but i don't want to pay for them>what do i do?have you tried not being a poor retard?
>>18475233You want me to pay to try 10 things, of which I might like 1 or 2?

>>18475229surely they stock terre d'hermes at least
>>18475229bad b8 i r8 2/8

SOTD: Fahrenheit, 10 sprays.
>>18475235if you can't try them for free at a store and you're not willing to buy a sample, what are you expecting as an answer?
you either shell out a bit of cash to try them, buy a random bottle without trying it or stfu and don't get anything.
think I'll buy TF Noir EDP
>>18475303it's good, though it is a bit of a ripoff of some classics like Shalimar
>>18475235What's the alternative? You want to blind buy a perfume based on the recommendation of a stranger on the internet? If so get Kenneth Cole Black.
I am tired of pretending that this is not better than Sauvage.
>>18475310It smells like sunscreen in the dry down. Sauvage doesn't and is therefore better.
>>18475304Every description I read of it is "misty, grey foggy" which I would assume is the result of the violet leaves. I should get a summer frag but I'm just a sucker for dark, rich frags
this is the perfume my dad used to wear. then he could no longer find it in shops.
It has been remade and the new version is worse than the original.
What do you guys recommend: accept the compromise and buy the new version or buy a GOOD perfume in the same style of the original? Which one?
>>18475328buy chanel pour monsieur (edt)
>>18475328>It has been remade and the new version is worse than the original.Since when? I knew it was discontinued, when did they bring it back? I've been looking to try it as I love Eau de Cedre
>>18475336Very sexy scent but has no lasting power and it lost the sandalwood-moss drydown of the vintage. Now it just smells like faint ash after the first two hours.
what do you guys think of JPG? just came from a perfume store and was drawn to these samples the most.
>>18475336my dad isn't 80
>>18475342I may have spread disinfo.
reading the reviews, apparently the original version got progressively worse thanks to IFRA and was eventually discontinued. Then it got resuscitated into a new version in 2013, which is actually very close to the original. not as good, lacks oakmoss partially, but relatively speaking it got very lucky with the reformulation roulette.
>>18475328It was Armani's take on Eau Sauvage, which was Giorgio's favorite fragrance, so either that, Monsieur de Givenchy, or AdP Colonia.
>>18475328Just buy the original, it's worth it. I always buy my dad the original formulation of the fragrances he used to wear and seeing life flash before his eyes is very validating.
>>18474595not really. a stinky indian does not stop being a stinky indian just because hes wearing perfume
>>18475320try to find it in a store. or find Shalimar, which is similar but with more vanilla and citrus
Habit Rouge EDT is also in this DNA, but better for warm weather. it's not as dense and dark, more citrus and rose
>>18475345the original le male is the best. most of the newer ones are too sweet for me.
>>18475328eau sauvage, eau de guerlain, adp colonia. maybe eau de rochas if you want to cheap out a bit
if your dad wants a stronger, beefier version of this type of fragrance, Boucheron Pour Homme could work great. a bit heavier with much better performance, maybe it would bring the "back in the good old days" feeling he wants
>>18475372much better than versace pour homme
>>18475366the boutiques near me don't sell it. convinced myself to buy it online with a sale going on
>>18475379some store near you probably has Shalimar to try out though
>>18475372It truly is amazing. Boggles my mind how people dismiss it. Id rather wear this than Aventus.
>>18475372One if the prettiest summer masculines I have ever smelled. I also like to gatekeep it so stop posting about it.
>*ahem* Sauvage, Eros, and Light Blue are much better bros *ahem*
>>18475357is there a major difference between Colonia and the Intensa version?
>>18475386NTA, but not in the US.
Guerlain doesnโt exist in the US outside specific flagship stores in massive cities like NY or LA.
>>18475397didn't know that. in the EU the selection tends to be limited, but most big name stores have some acqua allegorias, shalimars and random women's Guerlains at least
>>18475394I pulled out my samples of both just for you.
>Colonia, left handMore rounded, seems to have more jasmine, slightly indolic bordering on urinal cake, but not much
>Colonia IntensaMore citrusy, but softer and without the jasmine, bordering on powdery, but with greater projection
>>18475373Not only that, but I think it's better than AHS. That DNA is intolerably synthetic.
>>18475391We need a new buzzword so people will stop calling everything "gatekeeping".
>>18475373in what way does it differ from pour homme
>>18475412Did you just try to gatekeep gatekeeping?
>>18475372*sigh*
I guess another bottle for my collection wouldn't hurt. Its only like 50 bucks on fragnet.
I must have like 40 bottles by now
>>18475415>fagnetYour order is in our warehouse alhamdulillah
>>18475402how kind of you. thanks for that. i own intensa and was wondering if it's worthwhile to get the OG, but i guess i'll stick with what i got
>>18475422You owe me sex for this
>>18475413Pour homme is a really basic lemon on laundry musk fragrance. Man eau fraiche feels like a more harmonious composition, though it's hard to pinpoint the individual notes. There are lots of different elements, but they blend together into this general sense of freshness.
Pic related heavily mogs everything I've smelled so far
>>18475428I never smelled this, but don't like the normal prada l'homme that much. the sweet and powder in it lacks a darker counterpoint for my taste. I prefer Dior Homme Parfum, Original and Intense, in that order
is it similar to any of those?
>>18475433It's better than all Dior Homo fragrances combined. And no it does not smell like the OG Prada L'Homme
>>18475415>I must have like 40 bottles by now
>>18475436But i also have 300+ samples :(
>>18475438>300+ samplesplease refer to this post:
>>18475436
>>18475433L'Homme Intense is the best fragrance from Prada and Prada makes the best mens colognes since Jacques Polge left Chanel
>>18475435>all Dior Homo fragrances combinedwell theres your problem bro weve told you layering is dumb af you gotta try them individually
No but in all seriousness theyโre all super gay, Prada included, and any other frag with prominent iris.
>>18475414Yes. The word is so ubiquitous now it can mean basically anything. Kind of like how 'gaslighting' was in every other sentence a few years ago, eventually losing distinct meaning.
>>18475413EF has a better opening with the star fruit, and a drydown that isn't a tonka bomb.
>>18475441>implying Jackoff Bulge ever made good fragrances for men to begin with
>>18475443Stop gaslighting people over gatekeeping
>>18475442Comparing Dior Homme Intense to Prada L'Homme Intense is like comparing Platinum Egoiste to Ultra male. kys fag, stop ruining threads
>>18475447Actually I'm smokescreening you so you'll stop love-bombing gatekeeping.
>>18475448I have alternative facts.
>>18475450Fake news.
STOP GATEKEEPING DIOR SAUVAGE EDT
I wear Sauvage while I male-manipulate people into hating Sauvage.
I just wear whatever i think is nice
(Boucheron Pour Homme EdP)
i only wear what /frag/ hates
>>18475397I'm the anon, in Canada and Guerlain is readily available here, but only in big cities like Vancouver or Toronto
Why do I associate BDC with reddit?
>>18475469I associate it with inner city backwards hat wearing hypebeast Mexican turbonormies in lifted F150s
>>18475469because while good it's the most generic, safest, boring and at this point unimaginative fragrance there is. it's liked by everyone, but it won't wow anyone. it's the perfect Reddit frag because you can post it and you'll be sure to recieve plenty of updoots by other equally tasteless milquetoast Redditors
Club De Nuit Intense Man is still the best fragrance I've ever tried. Basically every single time I wear it someone tells me I smell amazing, and I haven't found anything else that comes even close in terms of reactions.
I've had it on each wrist side by side with Aventus, and people still say they prefer CDNIM.
I smelled Trump once and he wears Creed Aventus
you know a frag is good when it causes so much seethe
>>18475422Yes, it's worth it to get the OG because there's a massive difference between it and Intensa. Prefer the OG.
>>18475448and they're both sweet ipowdery ris designer slop
>>18475484my condolences
>>18475500l'homme l'eau is the only one worth getting
Why is he shilling Dior Sauvage EDT all of a sudden? He forgot that fragrance
>>18475328Boucheron Pour Homme
>>18475544the shill checks just hit his account
>>18475595Nope! :)
Why not just stop being a stingy faggot and spend like 10 bucks on a small decant of regular Aventus
How is the performance on Eau Fraiche? Good in hot weather?
Fuck it might just blind buy The Dreamer for ยฃ25
>>18474484 (OP)everyone in this thread is Indian except me
>SOTD: Hermรจs Eau D'orange Verte
Do y'all think Eau D Erica will match back with me. What should I say?
>>18475086Most Aventus clones are dogshit and don't smell like Aventus up close. CDNIM is the closest you get to Aventus if you smell it in the air but not on skin, all Arab slop are abrasive up close

Fumes that actually smell animalic? Not in the vague impressionistic perfumy sense where you barely get a semblance.
Iโm talking like an actual zoo. Natural funky, fur, leather, sweat, musky stanky skank.
>>18475985I want a โreturn to monkeโ kind of a scent.
>>18475969You know soon there will be no more cherry. According to IFRA addendum 51 benzaldehyde will be made completely illegal. This means no more cherry.
>>18475987Buy Castoreum hyperessence or castoreum abs. And slather yourself in that, doesnโt get more animalic than that.

Undefeated combo, try it out, try it even with replicas/dupes/clones.
Very green and incensy with a good bed of soft spice, cinnamon, and cloves. It's kind of like a thicker Enclave.
>>18475990which cherry fragrance should I scoop before it's over? I don't go crazy for the note so only one (1) cherry perfume is enough for my collection.
>>18475973unironically margiela never ending summer. released with no fanfare or hype and is a beautiful bitter orange + tea scent
>>18476020Emir voux zingy has maybe the worst performance of any fragrance I tried, the smell's nice and green and minty and very zingy (not as zingy and realistic as Light Blue Forever's grapefruit though), but it's not worth the money.
You or someone like you might not be very long lasting but it's the better choice.

>>18475941I think Mitsouko, L'Heure Bleu, and Vol de Nuit are good but dated, quite different from current trends/sensibilities.

guys, hear me out:
OG one million + hermann
they combine so damn well.
OG one million has always reminded me of a damp marble crypt filled with flowers pots, with that strong pungent white flowers smell that funeral homes use to mask the smell of death. But it doesn't give off any eerie/gloomy feel.
Hermann is obviously pretty decadent, cold and melancholic. Reminds me of a little village cemetery after rain, with graves of loved ones and long dead roses, and also the lingering smell of your grandma, that occupies your memories.
I have them together on my hand and the combination is surreal.
An utterly enticing and decidedly funeral mix at the same time. Floral and warm but definitely not "comfortable". off-putting, but in a good way, in a charming way, if that makes sense.
since both perfumes are pungent in their own way, the final mix is violent, it's complex in a distracting way.

Anyone try Boucheron Oud de Carthage? I have Oud Malaki but OdC sounds like it might be better.
Tried The Dreamer today.
Opening 60 seconds, couldn't smell much at all, just the alcohol.
Then for the next minute or two, its was literally like glue. Sour and plastic.
Finally some pleasant florals came through, but there was zero projection, I had to be point black to my hand so smell it.
After ten minutes of this pleasant but weak scent, I sprayed some Egoiste over the top, which totally replaced The Dreamer, and lasted the whole rest of the day. The warm woody rose was such a joy, and a relief.
So The Dreamer - not even worth the low price of ยฃ25, maybe the old releases were good, but what I tried in store today was pure garbage.

>>18476376Sorry you live in some weird shithole country but here in England I can go to Boots and try all of these fragrances on the shelf at my leisure, which is exactly what I did, and anyway I own Egoiste at home and it smells great from the first second unlike The Dreamer which took two or three minutes to just smell mediocre.

Just got a few 0.7ml samples from Luckyscent. I kind of regret it because they're all dabbers instead of atomizers.
How the hell am I supposed to use these things? I got dizzy from hyperventilating too hard trying to breathe in the scents so I can smell them.
All of them also smell like chemicals initially. It's very prominent and nasty. I'm guessing it's because they're samples and dabbing doesn't spread scents evenly, so it's a condensed mess.
I feel like I'm supposed to smell frankincense but it takes a while before it comes out of it's disgusting chemical stage.
Pic related is an unexpected banger. Probably fucking amazing in winter.

Every fucking faggot thinks they're a perfume expert. Euroitalia hasn't distributed D&G Pour Homme in probably 20 years. This retard's argument that it's not actually vintage because it's not dark yellow is stupid. I've got two other Euroitalia bottles and they have the same clear yellow color. Now I'm left with the choice of paying this guy's return shipping to me or giving him the bottle.
