Casually, tropical short sleeve shirt (seersucker, linen, cotton and the odd Hawaiian shirt especially if I'm drinking) with RL Chino shorts. Braided leather belt with no show socks and boat shoes.
Colder days (I live in canada) its usually a polo shirt with light wash denim and chukka boots.
If its more formal I have a few linen sport coats from RL/Brooks Brothers and combine them with a long sleeve linen shirt and either seersucker or linen pants and penny loafers.
Cant beat aviators. I would wear my rolly but in the current Canadian environment I would prob get culturally enriched.

Polo shirts, straight-cut Levi’s and derbies. Nothing groundbreaking, but it’s sweltering and one can’t exactly collapse for the sake of style. I always have some accessories on: a 12mm silver chain, a few silver bracelets, rings, a skinny scarf or two and a Panama hat. Just enough polish to stop people thinking I’ve lost the plot entirely.

Nobody gives a shit if you're unique or interesting. Always trying to stand out and attention whore is for faggots. It's about what looks good, is functional and works for your body. Pleated pants are objectively better than flat front pants especially in summers, because they're roomier and more breathable without being baggy throughout.

Same goes for short sleeve button up shirts in regular fit. They're better than t-shirts because the buttons make it easier to regulate airflow and temperature, not just near the neck but throughout its length. You'll get plenty of airflow through the gaps between the buttons. They'll also not look worse with age. T-shrits get stretched out and get floppy collars over the years. Won't happen with buttoned shirts.The designs and patterns just add a bit more variety and character.

I’m a college lecturer that is now full time remote lecturing but living in my college town in the middle of rural flyover country. I sincerely have no idea how to dress to look good here. The whole place is a toss up between typical academic yuppie types, their foreign pets, and rednecks. In the winter, I just dress how you might expect a professor to dress. But in the summer I have no idea what to do.
