Golden Era /fa/
This is a thread for the gold era of /fa/ and internet fashion. Post only content from 2014 and prior in this thread. Put effort into your posts and contribute; we're all here for the same reason. I'm mostly going to dump inspo I've saved from trawling through Warosu.

Last one for now. There's a funny story about this knit; it was one of the first things I bought - in cream - but I was disappointed with it because I didn't have any concept of layering and so on so I sold it to another anon on here. I recently bought it again in black this time now that I understand how to use it. The brand, Seminead, was also discontinued between these two purchases.

LMAO you millennial chuds. The 2010's was the worst era of fashion, with everything being tight fitting skinny and slim fit degeneracy that looks good on no one (neither fatties nor skellies), peddled by corporations trying to sell you clothes with less fabric at a higher price. And no, dressing in all blacks and greys in athletic clothes and looking like a dystopian prole or an Antifa terrorist is not "/fa/" either and really cringe.

Slim fit doesn't look bad, you just are terminally online. Every kind of fit works visually when worn correctly, but it has to fit thematically, which is something that modern IG-focused culture seems to not understand, and everyone is wearing extremely sloppy huge pants with smarter tops which will look incredibly dated in a short few years.

WVB is really eccentric and seems more skewed towards runway designs, not that that's a bad thing. You can still enjoy a handful of things from him and draw from the runway styling in your own more realistic outfits.

>>18481365
I like Gosha's earlier stuff which is unobtanium now. After he got cancelled, GR Uniforma had some of his more interesting offerings but it was more along the lines of workwear. Fun fact, although I might be getting this wrong; one of the guys in the photo you posted was a /fa/ggot, I believe the one with the Rafidas on.

This is another thing I really miss about old /fa/ and older 4chan in general, it felt alot more like a community. In /fa/ one's identity is alot more prevalant because of the nature of posting fits, recent cops etc, while in other boards it's more down to overarching site culture and people understanding the same jokes, feels etc, but it's two sides of the same coin. You'd see someone post in WAYWT - which was less embarassing then than now - then be able to identify that same guy in a different thread talking about the new jacket he just got or whatever. At some point the fuccboi general turned into the more genericly titled stupid questions that don't deserve their own thread as well.

Most of the items posted here look lazy (sweats), emo (girl pants), or like what niggers/wiggers would wear. I remember people wearing cloths like this but I never followed trends.

Every time he got clowned on massively and every time he won so fucking hard. Most people never make 1 good financial guess on the next big thing. He's done it like 4 times in a row and been rewarded massively for it. In retrospect it all seems so obvious but at the time he was truly out there, making videos about this stuff, and people laughed in his face about it. Even that fit is so far ahead of it's time it's insane. 2013 people were matching their Jordan's to their snapbacks and Fran is wearing Raf & Rick.

I legitimately feel like people had wayyyyy more sense for building a palette and a silhouette and a hierarchy of proportions back then compared to now.

Ofc trends come and go but I don't believe techniques and skills like this shoulda been reduced to just a "trend".

Like sure the logo shit like supreme and assc, THAT can be considered trend. But making a "character design" that looks streamlined and specific at the same time, both minimal and maximal at the same time, was 1000% lost to the newer trends.

For a lack of a better term, it feels like people play a FIT LOTTERY now, where they just throw some shit on and hope it works out, with microtrends sprinkled on top for relevancy.

The more I get into fashion the more I appreciate the simplicity and the, yes, sophistication of this stuff. At the risk of sounding too sincere.
