Not sure if this is the appropriate board but, can we get a thread about lifts and shoes that make you appear taller?

I got these and tried them in my timbs but it doesnโ€™t work at all, gonna try some military boots or something. Whatโ€™s a good shoe/boot for lifts, or better lifts than these?

At 6โ€™0 barefoot Iโ€™m tired of being a manlet and I want to present as 6โ€™4 ideally.

I get the feeling I'm being had but in case you're serious don't wear heel inserts. If you stand on your toes while your heel is already elevated inside your shoe you won't get any taller, which is a dead giveaway you're wearing lifts.

6'0 is king of the manlets in current year.

I got the benefit of being a more casual crossdresser so transitioning into high heeled shoes and boots felt incredibly natural. There were other unexpected benefits that came with that move in footwear to, particularly with supporting my extreme arch.

Your best bet is honestly to buy a more unisex styled shoe or boot with an elevated heel. I HIGHLY recommend Converse De Luxe boots. My current favorite, and easily the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, is the Tessa boots from A New Day. They're my daily driver and I get more surprising compliments about wearing them than not, definitely not what I was expecting being a man wearing heeled boots.

Lifts are gonna fuck up your spine alignment and will make you physically shorter in the long term.

Speaking from my experience:

Timberlands have some of the highest platform I have come across among boots. You can easily sneak in a lift such as >>18484713 for further boost. Boots are easy to add a lift unlike low top shoes.

For shoes you can't rely on lifts so you have to get a shoe with a platform or a hidden wedge.
For platforms check out Vagabond, they make some platform derbies and boots, though they look chunky

For discreet hidden wedges see
- Hogan sneakers, which are high street luxury and high quality even disregarding the lift they give. The Hogan Interactive stands out as the highest discreet lift I have found in a sneaker without a chunky sole.
- Masaltos who make all kinds of shoes including derbies and oxfords

For running and hiking shoes check out runrepeat for their heel stack tests.
