Soludos aren't real espadrilles, they're made in china and have trash quality jute with a 200% markup. They do look cool though and have good marketing so they trick people like (You)

Skolyx also makes good one for 160€, but "reproduction of found" look more accurate ngl.
It's also $100 more expensive, 250 is the price of genuine Margielas back in the days.

Good gym/indoor shoes, works well for stuff like weightlifting, gymnastics, martial arts. Bad for daily use, wouldn't want to wear these to go outside walking all day, they have very little support. Had such a terrible experience ordering from them online that I ended up getting my pair for free (took months to process my order and ended up sending me only one of the two pairs I ordered). YMMV on that though

Anonymous No.18509208
>>18509203
Versatility is a function of your wardrobe. If you wear modern sporty stuff and retro sporty stuff and heritage military pieces, then for you a retro sneaker could be versatile.
If you wear ocbds and workwear but also suits maybe loafers are super versatile for you.

For my wardrobe, Reebok Club Cs and Sambas are the most versatile shoes I have.

These need replacement this winter since the broken zippers keeps cutting my nails. Seems like Ecco no longer makes this style of sneaker boots with zippers.

Really liked these
>quick and easy to get on and off
>durable aside from the zipper
>comfortable once broken in
>easy to drive in
> keeps the snow out while I'm digging out my car

I've found alternatives from The Last Conspiracy that look like they have a sturdy zipper, but they're a bit clownish and a bit pricey for something I might be reluctant to wear in public.

I've seen them ranging from 50$ (local currency) to 100$ and 200$+. Call me uncultured but I can't see the visual differences between them.
Anonymous No.18515232 >>18515487

The difference is in construction, quality of materials and fit of the last.
$50-150 is likely glued on soles and fake leather, don't be surprised if they start to fall apart within a year.
+$250 is alright, but probably made in bigger factories in cheaper countries like Portugal, still have some compromises in construction and material.

For $4-700 you get a high quality shoe if you buy from an actual shoe company. This is best value for money if you want a great shoe.
After that its diminishing returns, but they'll have more hands on work on the finishing and attention to details.
