the shape of the last the sneaker uses, the midsole (what materials it has, how thick it is - referred to as stack height, how much heel toe drop it has etc)
the lockdown and the fit in the heel>toes>midfoot

I have a few "high brad" shit, even shoes and, from my personal experience, they are all made to last only for a year if you wear them often. By them I mean anything from pants to shoes.
Simply put, how I would define it is like this: High quality materials don't mean durable. On the contrary, they're very delicate.

And I've read a lot of people complaining about them lasting only for a few months before something breaks/falls off. I tried them on once and yes, they were simply unexpectedly comfortable. But I don't want to drop 1K only to wear them once a month or so.

Yes. It's a seasonal shoe, so I would only wear it during warm dry weather. If you rub your toes against the toe box you would wear it out and probably chafe your skin.

My favorite sneakers I owned in the past were sambas and waffles. The last pair I owned was a pair of japanese Onitsuka tigers. I loved how while they were sneakers they didn't really look like it, so you could wear them to slighly more formal events(eg. wore them to a couple of interviews and dates). Unfortunately the cost to ship a pair from Japan to where I live is crazy, so what are some reccs for sneakers based on what I've liked before? I'll mostly be wearing them with a new pair of Jeans.
