vibrant backpack?
in the market for a new backpack for travel/school. i'm tired of carrying around a black backpack all the time and was rec'd cotopaxi by a friend. i think having a super bright and colorful backpack would be fun for a while, but i pretty much only wear darker, muted colors. would something like picrel contrast too much?

a single harlequin golf-ass piece is a nice touch imo, especially with mostly-black casual clothing

Colorful backpacks are super cool, everyone is going to notice and comment on it if that bothers you. I have been wearing one for like 5 years. It fits a lot and it's very water resistant but it's not super light and gets weighed down so it's fine for a commute so not the best for hikes and trips but I still use it for that. Mine is super dirty and the back gets sweaty in summer but it does its thing. They're recycled so what you get is random.

This is what I’m doing rn too but my jackets are a lot more colorful now lol

cool backpack.
Maybe if you didnt wear all black and moved over to a jacket with color?
Or shirt with color?

I’d say introduce one color in your outfit so it’s not totally devoid of color and the backpack doesn’t standout as much

I think what you’re doing is fun. Go for it bro

the vibrant multi-color meme is played out and passe' in the outdoor community. makes me think of soccer moms. anything from a major outdoor brand owned by a big conglomerate makes you look like a big time poser.
backpacks made by small 1-25 man cottage brands by hand in america or europe are what's in style among hikers right now. a few major brands like granite gear, mountain hardware, rab etc sorta get a pass by the community because the gear's dece. undyed backpacks are the most in style. the best packs are custom but don't bother if you're not a backpacker.
zpacks and zimmerbuilt are some examples of good packs i like personally.
avoid hyperlight mountain gear they are a poser brand and their packs are mids.

here's a starting point to learn about them:

i like it when its actually garment to garment recycled like you are doing if you are making them diy.
what i don't like is when they just give you normal fiber-recycled polyester (shit for the environment poseur trash) and make it multicolor to make you think its garment to garment recycled.
g2g is the only actually environmentally friendly way to recycle polyester and pfas membrane materials.

It's a senseless jumble of colors with no harmony. It looks like it was made with leftover materials, which it was.
