Yeah, because it's the best type of clothing for hot dry areas with little water, no skin exposed to sun because that dehydrates faster and sweat get trapped and evaporates to cool you down

When I was a teenager I worked in a store that made everyone wear needless aprons, so we all started wearing them in ridiculous ways, like tying them at the very ends, or wearing them like capes.
After that, I understood why black guys sag their pants. It's like the apron they were made to wear, so they wanted to wear it in the most ridiculous way as a form of meek protest.

No one is forcing blacks to wear pants, in a perfect world they would all be barefoot and wear the pajamas with the flap in the back for easy access

I for some reason can't find an example of a man wearing fΓ©ileadhan mΓ²ra but I think that's because they're marketed towards americans as muh heritage and so only try to larp as cool warriors, but here's what I mean. Earasaidean are worn at ankle length rather than knee length mainly for modesty over practicality, but something a little shorter would work absolutely fine.

Or like picrel here, either way kilt itself would be way longer so as to reach just above the ankles.

My current daily set is any baselayer (usually a formal thobe), fleece jacket, kilt, wide brim wizard hat for sun protection, a long blackthorn/shillelagh-walking staff and some "wizard" (wide based leather) gloves. My shoes are also pure grey barefoots but they just look like normal wizard shoes. I work in an office where no one really cares and my colleagues have kinda just gotten used to telling anyone new about me before I even know they're there, applies in social settings too. I've sadly no pictures but I'll get some soon and post.
