My great great grandfather was one of the wealthiest merchants in the ottoman empire and had a huge leather business. Descendants became a political family in Lebanon. I have a bunch of wealthy cousins in Lebanese politics and gulf states. Not quite nobility.

I have a Von in my name. my family once ruled a very small town that doesn’t even exist anymore seeing as it’s somewhere in Poland nowadays. So technically yes but really minor nobility that doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things. I went to a pretty good private school and know “real” nobles, and they are some of the most stuck up insufferable people ever, always harping on about who their ancestors were and trolling me because I wasn’t really “one of them”

On my dad's side I descend from some local lordlings dating back at least to the mid 1400s. They lost the titles and whatever little remained of their wealth sometime in the late XIX or early XX.

Sort of, great great grandparents owned a shitload of land and a giant house. Sold the land to the government, it’s now a neighbourhood. Drunk guy fucked it all up two generations ago, I grew up poor (because my mother is also a fuck up, my relatives are largely wealthy now)

I grew up as a lordling in a third world country.
Came from a wealthy white family in a land of subhuman brown filth.
Family were owners of so so so very much... till the agrarian reform in the 60s.
Unfortunately my fathers generation squandered it to the last cent.
We inmigrated to America to survive. Being white in a country of brown means being a target.

I am now part of america's middle class.
