how does one modify their clothing to look absolutely shredded into oblivion beyond repair but while preserving longevity? my fashion sense gravitates heavily toward extreme degradation, i love massive holes and wear n tear, loose threads and faded colors and stretched out fabrics, i love the intricacy and chaos of gradual natural destruction, and i want all of my clothing to appear centuries old and barely hanging on by a thread, but i also want to preserve the structural integrity of those same articles. i want them to last.
i want to look like a moldy, feeble, abandoned building on the verge of collapse, paint peeling off, windows blown out, and trusses exposed but still standing. how do i approach this? any tips?

I went to an auction from the set of “Yellowstone”, it was interesting looking at the distressed costumes and clothing used while filming. Tbh it looked like shit in person. Some cool pieces though.
