BTW, an OCBD or any dress shirt will last longer than any t-shirt while continuing to look great throughout its lifespan, because button up shirts aren't made with garbage stretchy fabrics that blow out over time. I'm not in the top 1% of men in any regard, I wear suits most of the time and both men and women seem to like it, I'm sometimes told I look elegant, people ask me about clothing/style, they say I have a good eye for details, accessories and what have you.
The only negative opinions I've received about my suits were all along the lines of "who does he think he is, dressing like that to [this or that occasion/event/function]?", they were never voiced directly to me, and they all came from guys who couldn't dress.
I don't live in the USofA, but I can't imagine that making much of a difference unless you live your whole life in the poorest suburbs of the smallest city of the smallest province of your state.
