$1640 for the cheapest Nomos
>$1640 for the cheapest luxury watch by a luxury watch brand no one cares + will not get you pussy
> same sex appeal as a $30 timex weekender (none, lol)

when will luxury watch fags understand that they're in a cult and are unironically mogged by $20-30 casios that tell the time more precisely, offer more functions, look better, and have a 10 year battery life warranty? for $1640, you could have paid for a fivesome with escorts and finally lost your virginity, instead of buying a nerd watch.

Not everyone buys watches to get attention from people, especially not a dress watch for middle-aged german businessmen. Just get a rolex if thats what you're after.

It really doesn't take that much money to have "nice" watches, it just has to be an interest. I know quite a few people with more expensive watches than that, and they're not what I'd call rich just middle class

Though I do know two people with a nomos and both are pretty well off and in neither case is it their most expensive watch. One of them owns and runs a business, and the other one is the spouse of someone who eh, has money for a variety of different reasons, both a high salary job and some inherited business holdings he has people to run for him

I looked at a nomos at tourneau or wempe I forgot which, but it felt kind of underwhelming on my wrist, so I ended up getting a GS, in retrospect I probably should have gone for the nomos because someone called it "flashy" which is not what I was going for at all

I'd like to get a casio, casios are cool, I like all kinds of watches and it's not about the price for me. I'm wearing an apple watch right now. Probably my least favorite watch but I need to get my steps in lol

Thanks for reading my blog effay, every click of that like button helps

HOMOS is for women and LGBTQP+ people anyways.
But yeah, watches are overpriced and no one cares about them. You'd have better luck spending money on fragrances.

no one over-extends their income to buy a Nomos. so I would figure people that buy them are very well-off and aren't buying it for attention or prestige

The truest watch you can wear is the one your oldest family member wore, even if its a shitter.

i get the feeling watches are jewelry for men who want to wear shiny things, but can't accept the idea of wearing a piece of metal that serves no practical purpose. so they buy some limited edition rolex space shuttle astronaut watch for uhhh quality reasons and absolutely not because it's an expensive shiny thing. only a watch and wedding ring are acceptable because they don't have to explain why they wear them.

>watches are jewelry for men because wearing a diamond brooch is not considered typical for everyday men's fashion
Yes and loafers are shoes for men because they can't accept the idea of wearing 3 inch red patent leather heels and pantyhose and a miniskirt, was there a point to anything you just said?

I remember when nomos sold their club for 400-500 usd lol

Watch blogs wanking MINIMALIST BAUHAUS launched them into really becoming a meme brand

He makes a point. A watch today is pointless when everyone looks at their phone. The only people I see who wear watches are people into menswear and old retired men who still think people give a shit about what brand of watch they’re wearing. I have an older retired uncle who wears an expensive watch and he tells me it’s to flaunt wealth at young girls, hoping to attract them. I don’t know of any young girls who give a single fuck about watches or even care what brand someone wears. Maybe in the 80s people would be impressed.

you aren't ready for this and this will fall on deaf ears, BUT, tperformatively "not caring" (disdainful up and down glare) is caring, antifashion is still fashion, if you truly didn't care you wouldn't spend time imagining cute girls making snarky comments about boomers and their wrist jewels, you would just be out there living your life and having fun

$1600 is nothing. Get a job loser. There are no decent watches below $7000 anyway, and that’s me being very generous. A compelling argument could be made for $12,000.

that's one way to say you're who I was talking about in that post
not talking about stuff like earrings by the way. plenty of types of jewelry are a better investment than a silly wrist clock without sacrificing one's masculinity.

ok but if I get earrings am I allowed to get the mullet-shag queerbaiting hair thing, or is that too tryhard? I just want girls between 18 and 21 to like me

sorry didn't mean to capitalise like a boomer, i meant to say i just want girls between 18 and 21 to like me :3 in a nonsexual way (did i mention i'm ace? don't worry i won't rape u lol)

people tend to care too much about shit they're invested into. watch people think watches pull girls, whereas in reality nobody cares, r9k incels are obsessed with looking "chad" and obscure shit like cathnal tilts or whatever, so on and so forth

It was seen as a breath of fresh air after a period when watches like picrel dominated. Much like slim fit suits cuffed 3 inches above the ankle, it's difficult for zoomers to understand why anyone would have wanted them, when they grew up seeing shrunken suits on every lower middle class male. And now that "minimalist" is the default style of shein watch for anyone caring to buy a cheap watch, it's difficult to understand why this was such a coveted style of watch back then

But obnoxiously large busy looking watches will take over again some day and then you'll understand
Anonymous No.18531077
like if you had any idea how frustrating it was to even find a simple 3-hander that wasn't 45mm diameter with a bunch of extraneous crap on the dial, you might come close to getting it, but you won't. it's not that nomos was the first or only minimalist watch, but they managed to position themselves in just the right way, at just the right time, to become a grail watch for an entire generation

No not at all, don't worry. Watches are strictly a practical item. An astronaut heading to Mars for example would want the highest quality Rolex watch that's themed and colored to fit the occasion, with tasteful gold accents and always shows you exactly what time it is while withstanding the Martian atmosphere.

Guys who are seriously into watches usually joke about how they buy it to impress other men, kind of like how guys who are really into cycling joke about lycra and shaving their legs, and people outside the hobby look at people inside the hobby and make the same jokes and don't seem to understand that there's no self awareness inside the hobby. Now cue fatties crying about cyclists and their expensive bikes holding up traffic.
