If all we cared about was worshipping natural selection and trying not to cheat it in any way we'd never bathe or shave because that's not what animals do. However, we live in a society where effort is rewarded and good looks are celebrated no matter their source, that's why people cut their hair into better shapes, put makeup on, pick clothes to hide or showcase their silhouettes and so on. Plastic surgery is just another one of these things, although it seems radical because it's not as widespread in the West as it is in Asia.

But if you get a bunch of work done, and then have kids with somebody without disclosing your original appearance, that seems like it ought to be illegal. Imagine you, as an assumedly average to above average male, marry and reproduce with a girl who looks like a 9 to you, while genetically being a 3. Your child comes out looking like Quasimodo, and you have no idea why.
