I am in the same boat looking for a shoe. Ive narrowed it down to the Meindl Borneo and Meindl Schlern. I think they weigh about the same. My understanding is, the Borneo has an EVA midsole while the Schlern has a PU one, which probably makes it a better choice long term. But ultimately you can resole both easily. Will probably choose after I find one to try in store somewhere.

Super comfortable shoes, they break in with just a few wears, they don’t use any chemical material, no celastic toe cap and heel stiffeners, even the sole rubber and the glue they use are natural.
