What is the point of this?
to destroy your clothing and washing machine forcing you to replace them more often

cotton feels softer and has a nice smell to it. i dont use it on my jeans etc but blankets and tshirts pjs etc. i tried it w/o but it felt stiff

Unless you're wearing burlap sacks you don't need this. Modern fabric is already designed to be soft naturally.
