Why do shitstains like this, who weren't even born in the 80s, talk as if fashion back then was the best thing ever when this faggot wouldn't last a day in that era?

Yeah, he's dressing for a world that doesn't exist anymore.
Unless it's Zurich maybe or Tokyo ironically.

You know what’s crazy about zoomers? Even when they religiously study traditional clothing, they still never quite get it. Something is always off. They pair corduroy pants with a dress shirt and tie, or the shirt looks like it was purchased from the ugly section at Kohl’s, or it doesn’t fit quite right, something is always off.

It's fine, he dresses like how a doctor would dress in 1990 rural France.
Also, he doesn't have the usual zoomer face, young but no baby fat in the face. It makes him look classically handsome imo.

That guy is extremely tall, hard to tell exactly because of perspective in front of the doorframe, but probably at least 6'5. This makes pulling off the longcoat work better. For everyone else it just looks silly

that goes for everything, not only fashion. it's absurd that people reduce an entire decade into a handful of cliches portrayed in media.

They're TOO fashionable.
The key to looking good in a suit is to keep it simple.
It's the true meaning of sprezzatura, to appear effortlessly elegant. If it looks like you put too much effort into your outfit, that itself makes it look bad.
You have to look like you only own one suit and you put it on without a second thought.

Really the best way to do this is to simply not buy weird stuff.
Get a grey suit with very normal proportions and details.
Get a white shirt with a normal collar.
Get a pair of oxfords with a normal toecap shape.
Get a dark tie with a muted pattern.
And just wear that 99% of the time.

And when you put it on, forget about it, don't keep adjusting your suit, don't walk in a fashiony way with one hand in your pockets, don't stand stiff like a statue, just go about your day.
If you do this enough to where it becomes habit, then the suit becomes regular clothing again, and will feel natural to you, and then you will act and move natural in it, and that will make you appear natural in it.

Notice how Von Braun here on the right here has buttoned up both his coat buttons. Granted, his suit is loose enough to not bunch up when doing this, which is the problem with the second button on most coats.
But notice how he doesn't look terrible because of this. He's not a particularly attractive man.
But it's so obvious that he is comfortable in his clothes and does not overthink it.
He doesn't look bad

While movies and fashion illustrations do indeed show suits at their best, they are inherently a sort of theatre.
Like a cartoon character whos voice sounds normal in the cartoon, but when you hear the voice actor in real life speak in the cartoon voice, it sounds bizarre and over the top.
You should look to real people wearing suits for inspiration, not just fashion illustrations and movies.
