you get a little surprise each month with some snacks you probably never had before, could have an interesting flavor, interesting texture, whatever. or just be regular cookies that just happen to be made far away, you never know. ideally cheaper than buying stuff from some specialty online import retailer. and if you don't like an item just ask around or take it to work with you, there'll be someone who enjoys it. but at least looking at the website of this particular service you seem to even be able to curate quite exactly what types of things you'll get.
there's nobody being exploited by this, and you're not going in debt paying like 25 bucks a month for one such a box. if you have a dozen coming every time that's different of course, but excess is bad for ya with just about anything.
