A) God is evil and has designed reality to maximize suffering and incentivise causing others suffering to minimize your own
2) some shit just exists and has rules like chemical reactions, and scarcity and entropy, that all stack up leading to chemical reactions that try to perpetuate eventually gaining weird shit like the fear that one day they won't perpetuate
