I was trying to figure out a forearm pain and cracked my old copy of Gray's Anatomy and read through the tricep section
one of the functions of one of the triceps is adduction of the arm (bringing it back toward the body). you can even feel it just sitting in place, pulling your arms closer to your body, something, tighten in your tris.
tl;dr keep your arms back when you're doing your tricep pushdown.
