Name a worse pain
>Weighted squats to failure
>Weighted calve raises to failure

Getting upper body to failure is easy and kind of nice. Getting legs to failure is torture, along with the soreness you will feel for the next day or 2 that makes you not want to stand.

Enjoying wasting your time i see. Calves dont grow from weighted lifts like other muscles do. They need decades of constant stimulus. Thats why only being obese works for big calves

Welcome to HIT brother. I work 12 hour shifts at an industrial facility whose staircases are not su ject residential code and are a good bit higher than most.

I got a hard, lightweight foam roller and 6ish solo sessions over 2 days get my legs good enough to climb those stairs during my shift as needed.
